100 firefighters respond to Green Valley Bean Co. fire

A Park Rapids agricultural business was damaged extensively in a fire on Monday.

About 100 firefighters from the area responded to the Green Valley Bean Company around 8:30 that night on a report of flames coming from the roof of the building.

They cleared the scene around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The incident remains under investigation, but the fire is believed to be an accident.

The Carsonville Fire Department was assisted by the Nevis, Park Rapids, Menahga, Wolf Lake, Frazee, and Detroit Lakes fire departments.

Assistance was also provided by the Hubbard County and Becker County Sheriff’s Offices, the Park Rapids Police Department, the State Patrol, the State Fire Marshal, and North Memorial Ambulance.
