Situation Update for Monday, Sept. 14

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 643 new cases of COVID-19 today and three new COVID-related deaths, bringing the state’s totals to 84,949 cases and 1,922 deaths. Sen. Smith introduces legislation to assist childcare providers

Minnesota’s Senator Tina Smith recently introduced bipartisan legislation to assist child care providers. The legislation includes provisions such as improving air filtration systems, reimbursing sanitizing costs, as well as hazard pay for employees. Highway 371 set to be resurfaced

Highway 371 will be under road construction starting next Monday. According to MnDOT, Highway 371 from Hackensack to Highway 200 will be resurfaced, and drivers can expect lane closures, pilot cars and short-term delays. The $1.1 million project is expected to last through mid-October, weather permitting. The project website can be found here.
