Grant Valley Township home damaged in fire

Twenty-one firefighters responded to the 2300 block of Buchanan Ave. SW Monday evening to fight a house fire. Bemidji Fire Chief Justin Sherwood says his department was called to the scene around 6 p.m. and battled the blaze for about two hours. Public’s help requested as homicide investigation continues

Authorities are still seeking information about a recent homicide north of Bemidji. According to a release from Beltrami County Sheriff Ernie Beitel, the investigation has continued since the homicide three weeks ago.
