Albrecht appointed to Natural Resource commission

Former Bemidji mayor Rita Albrecht was recently appointed to the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources by Governor Tim Walz.

The commission makes recommendations to the legislature for environment and natural resource projects, primarily from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund.

Albrecht, in addition to her years in city government, worked as a regional director of the Minnesota DNR for three years until her retirement in 2019.

Albrecht’s term on this new commission will expire at the end of 2024.
