Another Beltrami County lake added to infested waters list

Another Beltrami County lake has been added to the infested waters list after zebra mussels were found in Pimushe Lake.

According to a release from the DNR, an adult zebra mussel was found on a settlement sampler hanging on a dock.

The lake is just north of the Cass Lake chain, where zebra mussels were first confirmed in 2014.

Lake property owners and lake service provider businesses are urged to carefully check boats and trailers, docks and lifts, and all other water-related equipment for invasive species when removing equipment for seasonal storage.
