Another grant cycle available to struggling Beltrami business and nonprofits

Another local grant program for small businesses and nonprofits is open now through Jan. 22.

According to a release from Greater Bemidji, Beltrami County has been awarded over $930,000 to assist those impacted by the current pandemic, and Greater Bemidji will administer the grants on behalf of the county.

Some of the grant eligibility include the ability to demonstrate a decline in revenue for both businesses and nonprofits.

Priority will be given to the hospitality industries, businesses and non profits with storefronts and employees, and those significantly impacted by the pandemic but receiving little to no funding.

Grant Information: Maximum grant amount per legal business/non-profit entity is targeted at $25,000 or up to 3% of 2019 revenue, whichever is less; however, award amounts may be altered dependent on number of eligible applications. Applications will be evaluated primarily on Revenue Decline from 2019 to 2020. However, data will be collected on several other factors that may influence the award amount such as Net Profit (Loss) comparison from 2019 to 2020, COVID Relief funding to-date, business sector and employee count.
