Application process open for Police Advisory Board

Applications are now being accepted for the soon-to-be-formed City of Bemidji police advisory board.

According to a release, nine members will be needed to fill the board initially and will include city residents, as well as representatives from the business, spiritual, faith, service and educational communities within the city.

The Board will provide recommendations to the Police Chief related to police-community relations, planning, police training and public education.

Applications are available at City Hall or on the city’s website and are due on Oct 20.

City staff will interview applicants in November.
