Area woman named to Governor’s council

Gov. Tim Walz recenty announced an appointment of a local woman to an early childhood council.

Leila Goggleye, a Leech Lake special education coordinator for early childhood, will serve a two-year term on the Governor’s Interagency Coordinating Council on Early Childhood Intervention.

This council advises and assists the state’s department of education with fulfilling state and federal obligations for children with disabilities, from birth to kindergarten entrance.
