ORIGINAL STORY:

The Bemidji Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect in an attempted armed robbery.

Officers responded to the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW around 1 a.m. this morning after report of a gunshot and a silver SUV leaving the scene.

Officers located the vehicle and the driver said he was on the second-floor hallway of the apartment complex when a Native American male approached and demanded money.
