Armed robbery in Bemidji Friday, police say no active threat to the public

Bemidji Police Officers responded to the 1100 block of Park Ave. NW Friday morning on report of an armed robbery.

According to a release, the unharmed victim said she was approached by four people, three men and one woman, who allegedly brandished a pistol and a shotgun while taking the victim’s purse, coat, wallet and cell phone.

The suspects then reportedly left the area in a blue SUV.

The victim believes she knew most of the suspects and provided their information. Officers have spoken with one of the alleged suspects and, as of Friday, continue to search for the other suspects in this case.

“This appears to be an isolated incident and there does not appear to be a threat to the general public,” said the release.

Anyone with information on this crime is encouraged to report it anonymously through CrimeStoppers of Minnesota to possibly qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
