LAKE GEORGE- The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Belgrade man is dead after an SUV crashed into his ATV on a county road.
Deputies say 76-year-old Daniel Schwieters was making a turn on the ATV early on Tuesday morning, when he was struck from behind by an SUV driven by 27-year-old Juan Hernandez from Melrose.
Schweiters was thrown from his four-wheeler and suffered a serious head injury. He was taken to a St. Cloud hospital and later died. Hernandez was treated at the scene. This crash is still being investigated.
