Backus man faces charges after methamphetamine found in vehicle

A Backus man is facing charges after a traffic stop led to the seizure of about 50 grams of methamphetamine in Cass County.

Sheriff Tom Burch says the traffic stop on Saturday evening in Pine River Township involved a K9.

The suspected narcotics were found during the subsequent search of the vehicle.

The 60-year-old man is facing charges of possession and driving under the influence.

Formal charges are pending.
