The waters near the Sailstar Marina in Cass Lake are once again safe to swim in.
The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe’s Environmental Department says they took samples again on Monday and found that the bacteria levels were low enough to be safe.
Officials will continue to monitor the bacteria levels in that area throughout the summer and will update if potentially harmful bacteria levels rise too high again.
Fluctuating bacteria levels are common in Minnesota waters, as waterfowl and human activity can have an impact on water quality.
