Current Beltrami County Commissioner Reed Olson is suspending his campaign for Minnesota’s 7th congressional district, after redistricting made him no longer eligible to campaign for District 7.
During a town hall-style meeting Thursday at his business, the Wild Hare Bistro and Coffeehouse, he made the announcement that he was still deliberating a campaign for the new 8th district.
Olson answered questions on student loan debt, environmental issues, political divisiveness and extremism, and mineral extraction.
He expressed he would be a candidate uninterested in supporting corporate interests and devoted to taking power from the elite and bringing it back to the people.
