The Beltrami County Board of Commissioners will hear the reviews of two fatal crashes on Cardinal Road.
Beltrami County Highway Engineer Bruce Hasbargen wrote in the work session memo that the crashes last August brought up some concerns about a possible correlation between the crashes and the new road design.
MnDOT recently constructed reduced conflict intersections, or “j” turns, west of Bemidji on Highway 2.
Hasbargen said the county’s Toward Zero Deaths coalition reviewed the various aspects of the crash, including road design.
The board will also hear more during their meetings Tuesday from Northern Township on their potential water and sewer infrastructure project and will hear an update from Sanford Health regarding community health initiatives and trends.
