The Beltrami County Board of Commissioners will hold their regular meeting at 5 this evening, and while nothing too controversial is on the regular agenda, citizens may address the board on any item not on the agenda.
A federal judge blocked the Executive Order from the Trump Administration that gave local governments and states the option on whether or not they will accept refugees in their communities.
The Beltrami County Board of Commissioners opted not to by a 3 to 2 vote, which gathered state and national media attention as it was the first in the state to choose that option.
No public comments were allowed during that meeting two weeks ago, but since the item isn’t on the agenda today, comments on the topic may be accepted.
