Beltrami County Board’s redistricting meeting today

The Beltrami County Board will meet for a special work session today to further discuss the redistricting process.

Last week, the board had a slightly contentious discussion on where to draw the lines for the commissioners’ districts.

Depending on how much the districts change, commissioners would be slated to run for re-election this year, even if they just ran for their four-year term in 2020.

The commissioners will review the various proposals, the 2020 Census, election cycles and other redistricting topics.

The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. in the County Board Room.
