Beltrami County is among the top 10 counties in the state to receive the highest tax refunds.
The map-based article from SmartAsset says Beltrami County ranked number 9, with nearly 16,000 taxpayers receiving an average $2,661 refund.
Clearwater County ranked fourth with 2,830 taxpayers receiving an average $2,745 refund in 2022.
Mahnomen County was first in the state in this ranking, with 1,750 taxpayers receiving an average $2,875 refund.
Counties in Minnesota owing the most in taxes were mostly in the southern half of the state, except for Marshall County in the top 10, with an average $5,543 tax bill for 1,110 taxpayers.
