Beltrami County Sheriff hosts Peace Officer Memorial Service tomorrow

The public is invited to attend a Peace Officers Memorial Service tomorrow evening in the Beltrami County Courtyard Pavilion on 6th Street and Beltrami Avenue.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to Bemidji Fire Station 1. Area law enforcement officers are also invited to attend the service that starts at 5:30 p.m.

Peace Officer Memorial Day on May 15th was proclaimed by President John F. Kennedy after congressional authorization, but since has expanded to include more events over National Police Week.
