Beltrami Farm Bureau to host Candidate Forum

The Beltrami County Farm Bureau will host a County Commissioners Candidates Forum next Wednesday at the Fairgrounds Grandstand.

Paul Bunyan Broadcasting’s own Todd Haugen, host of the KB101 Morning Show, will serve as the forum’s moderator.

The forum will be from 6:30 to 8 Wednesday, Sept. 9, and is open to the public.

Candidates invited include District 2 incumbent Reed Olson and challenger Joe Vene, District 4 incumbent Tim Sumner and challenger Danny Anderson, and District 5 incumbent Jim Lucachick and challenger Mike Bredon.

Beltrami County Farm Bureau President, John Gilbertson Jr. reminds voters of the importance to be informed as they go to the polls this fall.

“Voters need to be informed of how each candidate stands on issues impacting Beltrami County. This forum is structured in a way that each candidate will be offered an opportunity to share their position statements and respond to prepared questions and those submitted from the audience,” said Gilbertson.

The Beltrami County Farm Bureau is a nonpartisan general farm organization, representing about 200 member families. Statewide, the Minnesota Farm Bureau has close to 30,000 members.
