Beltrami K9 Rip was recently donated a bullet and stab protective vest from the nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s.
Rip’s vest was sponsored by Rick and Cindy Haterius of Colorado Springs, and was embroidered with the sentiment “In Memory of K9 Jinx, EPCSO, EOW 4-11-22.”
Vested Interest was established in 2009 and is dedicated to providing protective vests to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies.
The nonprofit has provided nearly 5,000 vests to K9s in all 50 states at a value of $6.9 million.
