Bemidjians may have noticed a new 3D sculpture at Paul Bunyan Park over the weekend, which Visit Bemidji Executive Director Josh Peterson says was inspired by the “Only In MN” sculpture here two years ago.
Peterson says the Minnesota sculpture in Bemidji generated a lot of social media interest and photographs, which inspired him to purchase one for Bemidji.
The monument is lit at night, and can move to different Bemidji locations for different events, such as the fairgrounds, the Sanford Center, or the University.
Sanford Health, the Bemidji Innkeepers Association, First National Bank Bemidji, Ottertail Power Company and Paul Bunyan Communications each sponsored a letter of the monument.
