Bemidji Area United Way Sets Up Emergency Fund To Help With Covid-19 Challenges

From The United Way Of The Bemidji Area:

Responding to the coronavirus/COVID-19, the United Way of Bemidji Area has established an Emergency Fund to support local nonprofits with unexpected expenses.

These funds will support access to food, emergency needs, and care to elderly/most vulnerable in our community.

Agencies with unexpected expenses combined with fundraising shortfalls due to event cancellations will be included.

“Keeping our seniors healthy and providing working families with basic needs is incredibly important at this time,” said United Way of Bemidji Area, Executive Director, Denae Alamano. “We will continue to monitor the needs of agencies and may need to provide additional assistance as everything unfolds.”

Current supporters include: First National Bank Bemidji, Security Bank/Insurance USA, Evangelical Covenant Church of Bemidji Benevolence Fund, Kraus Anderson, and Paul Bunyan Communications.  To support the United Way of Bemidji Area Emergency Fund, click HERE or call United Way at (218) 444-8929.
