BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
MONDAY, JAN. 20 (MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY)
Fire, 11:36 p.m.
Caller reported a commercial fire alarm on the 1000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Officer checked the building prior to the fire department taking over.
DWI, 11:06 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult male driver arrested for DWI.
Warrant, 8:17 p.m.
Adult male turned himself in on a confirmed felony warrant.
Theft, 7:20 p.m.
Officer took a report of a theft from a residence on the 400 block of Kay Ave. SE.
Accident, 6:34 p.m.
Caller reported a hit and run on the 100 block of Lake Shore Dr. NE.
Fraud, 4:35 p.m.
Caller found 13 $100 counterfeit bills in a snowbank on Middle School Dr. Items placed into evidence for disposal.
Traffic Stop, 1:05 a.m.
Officer conducted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation on the 1100 Paul Bunyan Dr. S. One adult male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
SUNDAY, JAN. 19
Security Check, 8:08 p.m.
Extra patrol request for neighbors yelling at night on Vista Way NW.
Violations/Court Orders, 5:48 p.m.
Caller requested a welfare check and reported a probation violation on the 2500 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. An adult male was arrested for the violation.
Fire, 4:55 a.m.
Car fire handled by Bemidji Fire Department on 5th St.
DWI, 3:45 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a male slumped over in his vehicle on the 100 block of 4th St. NW. One adult male was arrested for DUI.
DWI, 2:02 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 2100 block of 5th St. Driver arrested for DWI.
Warrant, 12:51 a.m.
Officer responded to the 1300 block of Anne St. NW for a courtesy ride request, upon arrival officer arrested the male on an out of county warrant.
Welfare Check, 12:02 a.m.
Officer checked on a female asleep in her car on the 1000 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Designated driver fell asleep waiting for a friend to leave a party.
SATURDAY, JAN. 18
Warrant, 11:28 p.m.
Officer responded to assist another agency with a local warrant arrest on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Officer located and arrested one adult female and one adult male on their warrants.
Disorderly Conduct, 9:29 p.m.
Officers responded to calls of loud noises coming from a hotel room. Officers spoke with the individuals about conduct and agreed to comply with hotel policy.
DWI, 8:57 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult male arrested for DWI.
Accident, 8:08 p.m.
Hit and run accident on 1st St. E and Gould Ave. NE. Unknown suspect vehicle fled the scene.
Disorderly Conduct, 2:03 a.m.
Officer witnessed two males wrestling in front of the bar on the 300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Both were warned for disorderly conduct and sent on their way.
DWI, 1:51 a.m.
Officer checked on a male slumped over behind the wheel of a running vehicle on the 200 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. The male was arrested for DWI.
DWI, 1:17 a.m.
Officer observed an accident occur in front of him on 16th St. NE and Bemidji Ave N. Driver was arrested for DWI.
FRIDAY, JAN. 17
DWI, 10:37 p.m.
Adult male arrested for DWI on Anne St. and Greenleaf Ave. NW.
Violations/Court Orders, 8:31 p.m.
Officers responded to a residence on the 1000 block of Minnesota Ave. NW for a local warrant check. One adult male was arrested for a DANCO violation.
Welfare Check, 6:49 p.m.
Anonymous report of crying coming from an apartment. Nothing suspicious heard by Officers. No answer at the door on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.
Property Damage, 4:40 p.m.
Officers spoke with a complainant about vehicle damage and possible hit and run on the 1000 block of Anne St. NW.
Property Damage, 3:23 p.m.
Damage to a vehicle reported on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.
Theft, 9:37 a.m.
Missing/stolen snowblower reported on the 300 block of 19th St. NE.
Theft, 8:39 a.m.
Caller reported theft of a vehicle on the 400 block of Beltrami Ave. Owner signed the vehicle as stolen.
Warrant, 2:43 a.m.
Male arrested for multiple warrants on 30th St. and Hannah AVE. NW.
DWI, 1:44 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Adult male arrested for DWI.

Deputy took report of missing items from the 4800 block of Birdsview Ln. NW.
Assist, 11:00 a.m.
Assist Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office with searching for a stolen vehicle. One was arrested on the 11800 block of Tomine Dr. NW.

DWI, 9:40 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 5200 block of Theater Ln. NW. Two parties were arrested for drug DWI.
Traffic Stop, 6:01 p.m.
Traffic stop on 9th St. and Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested for driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety.
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 4:22 p.m.
Vehicle in ditch on Washington Ave. and Highway 2 SE. Male arrested for DWI.
SATURDAY, JAN. 18
Pursuit, 8:26 p.m.
Traffic stop on Balsam Rd. and Eckles Rd. NW. Vehicle pursuit, one male arrested.
Disorderly Conduct, 6:58 p.m.
Deputies responded to a verbal argument on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. One adult male arrested for DANCO violation and one adult female arrested for felony warrant.
FRIDAY, JAN. 17
DWI, 8:49 p.m.
Vehicle in the ditch on Highway 2 at Cardinal Rd. NW. Female driver was arrested for DWI.
Suspicious, 8:04 p.m.
Report of a suspicious male asking to clear snow from roofs in the area on the 4700 block of Eckles Rd. NW. Male was found to be starting a business and looking for clients.
