The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Wednesday, Nov. 27 through Sunday, Dec. 1.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

SUNDAY, DEC. 1

Fire, 11:05 p.m.

Assisted Bemidji Fire Department with a residential fire on the 700 block of 8th Street NW. Cat located by BFD placed in impound for safekeeping.

Warrant, 8:17 p.m.

Abandoned vehicle towed from Highway 2. Driver located a short distance away, arrested on a warrant.

Suspicious, 3:24 a.m.

Adult male arrested on a local warrant on the 900 block of 30th Street NW.

DWI, 3:12 a.m.

Complaint of a possibly impaired driver stuck in the snow on the 1800 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW. Driver was arrested for DWI.

Assault, 12:39 a.m.

Individuals warned for disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Beltrami Avenue NW. THey all left without incident.

SATURDAY, NOV. 30

Suspicious, 9:16 p.m.

Suspicious person report on the 1000 block of Beltrami Avenue NW.

Suspicious, 4:40 a.m.

Male arrested for obstruction during a disorderly conduct call. Male later determined to also have a warrant and a citation was issued for obstruction.

Assault, 2:14 a.m.

Report of assault on the 100 block of 3rd Street NW. Suspect is still unidentified, case is pending.

Traffic Stop, 1:54 a.m.

Traffic stop. Driver arrested for DWI on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Drive S. Vehicle search located large amount of marijuana.

Fire, 1:11 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a stove fire on the 600 block of America Avenue NW. Bemidji Fire responded.

Weapons Offenses, 12:14 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a man with a gun threatening violence on the 300 block of Beltrami Avenue NW. Officers located the male, who did not have a gun, and denied making threats. Officers could not locate any firsthand witnesses who heard the male make the reported threats. No charges.

Friday, nov. 29

Property Damage, 11:42 p.m.

Officers received a report of property damage on the 300 block of Beltrami Avenue NW. Suspect left prior to officer arrival, officers took photos of the damage.

Trespass, 7:31 p.m.

Arrested one for making threats and trespassing on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Avenue NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 6:36 p.m.

Report of a male urinating and exposing himself in public. Arrested for probation violation, obstruction and indecent exposure on the 300 block of Bemidji Avenue N.

Property Damage, 6:26 p.m.

Officer took a report of property damage on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Avenue NW.

Property Damage, 4:07 p.m.

Report of damage to a vehicle on the 2400 block of Middle School Drive NW.

Theft, 2:10 p.m.

Stolen vehicle reported on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive S.

Theft, 11:59 a.m.

Suspected mail theft on the 500 block of Miles Avenue SE.

Medical, 1:36 a.m.

Suspected controlled substance overdose on the 2500 block of Phoenix Loop NW. Female transported to the hospital by ambulance.

THURSDAY, NOV. 28

Missing Person, 8:22 p.m.

Runaway juvenile located on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW during suspicious person complaint.

Disorderly Conduct, 2:25 p.m.

Caller was complaining that an employee’s girlfriend was hanging out in the parking lot harassing other employees. Officer advised the caller to call when the female was in the lot on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW. The officer called the girlfriend and advised her to stay away from the restaurant.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 27

Theft, 10:09 p.m.

Male reported to have skipped tab and taken tip money on the 1000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive S. No charges sought, business handled it on their own civilly.

Suspicious, 7:32 p.m.

Officers took a report of two suspicious people looking into vehicles on the 200 block of Irvine Avenue SW. Officers were unable to locate the subject.

Suspicious, 7:21 p.m.

One male arrested for fleeing a peace officer and obstructing the legal process on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW.

Agency Assist, 6:28 p.m.

Officers assisted Beltrami County deputies on a traffic stop on the 4200 block of 15th Street NW. One male was arrested.

Property Damage, 12:43 p.m.

Questions about graffiti around town.

DWI, 1:40 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 3100 block of Bemidji Avenue N for loud exhaust, driver arrested for DWI.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

 

SUNDAY, DEC. 1

Assist, 8:18 p.m.

An adult was arrested on Summit Avenue in Blackduck.

Theft, 10:36 a.m.

Deputies responded to a suspicious activity/theft complaint on the 5900 block of Dove Court NW.

Suspicious, 12:07 a.m.

Suspicious activity reported on the 9400 block of Fairview Lane NW.

SATURDAY, NOV. 30

Disorderly Conduct, 7:05 p.m.

Two arrested for disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Becida Road SW.

Suspicious, 5:34 a.m.

Suspicious activity at a residence on the 2400 block of Pine Acres Road NE.

DWI, 12:20 a.m.

Report of a vehicle in the ditch near the 22300 block of Irvine Avenue NW. Female driver arrested for DWI.

FRIDAY, NOV. 29

Traffic Stop, 10:22 p.m.

Traffic stop on Balsam Road and Eckles Road NW. Adult female arrested for DUI.

Accident, 7:50 p.m.

One vehicle accident on the 3300 block of Quincy Drive SW. Female driver arrested for using a false name.

Property Damage, 7:21 p.m.

Property damage complaint on the 800 block of Winter Sumac Road NE.

Animal, 3:57 p.m.

Report of a dog shot, possibly by a neighbor, on Cormant Road in Kelliher.

Suspicious, 12:23 p.m.

Deputy attempted to contact the complainant regarding photos posted online. Did not receive an answer and voicemail wasn’t set up.

Accident, 9:49 a.m.

Deputies responded to a vehicle rollover in Grygla. Male was arrested and issued a citation for driving after revocation.

Assist, 12:04 a.m.

Assist State Patrol with their traffic stop by providing cover on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW.

THURSDAY, NOV. 28

Suspicious, 7:16 p.m.

Male arrested for 4th degree DWI and 5th degree possession of a controlled substance on the 10100 block of Cardinal Road NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 1:29 a.m.

Fight call, two people arrested for minor consumption, warrant, runaway and obstructing the legal process.
