The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Tuesday, July 12, and on Wednesday, July 13.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

WEDNESDAY, JULY 13

Theft, 8:53 p.m.

Theft of a bike reported on the 1100 block of America Ave. NW.

Assault, 4:51 p.m.

Report of an assault on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Fire, 3:44 p.m.

Reported on 8th St. and Lake Blvd. NE.

Burglary, 1:42 p.m.

One male arrested after a report of an individual kicking in the door of a residence on the 2800 block of Delton Ave. NW.

Warrant, 12:16 p.m.

A male was arrested on a warrant on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Medical, 10:24 a.m.

Officers dispatched to the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW for a possible overdose. Subject transported to Sanford by EMS.

Warrant, 7:55 a.m.

Assist task force with search warrant on the 800 block of 26th St. NW. Two subjects transported to jail without incident.

Disorderly Conduct, 4:25 a.m.

Male caller upset with his obnoxious drunk girlfriend on Irvine Ave. NW. Male agreed to leave to get away from her.

TUESDAY, JULY 12

Assault, 10:59 p.m.

Adult male arrested for domestic assault on America Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 10:37 p.m.

Caller reported suspicious activity in the middle of the road at Park Ave. and 10th St. NW. Officer spoke to two parties who were conducting a vehicle transaction.

Warrant, 9:16 p.m.

Officer recognized a male with an outstanding warrant for his arrest on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Subject was arrested on the warrant.

Suspicious, 7:18 p.m.

Suspicious male reportedly carrying a knife on the 1400 block of America Ave. NW. Subject identified, no action needed.

Property Damage, 4:40 p.m.

A caller reported a hit-and-run in the parking lot on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Video footage revealed the storm blew a shopping cart into the caller’s vehicle. No hit-and-run occurred.

Disorderly Conduct, 3:13 p.m.

Officers checked on a report of people huffing on the 300 block of Irvine Ave. NW. One male was issued a written warning for the offense and explained the dangers of huffing.

Welfare Check, 1:24 p.m.

Officers responded to a welfare check of a male sleeping in a bed of flowers on Beltrami Ave. and 5th St. NW. Male was subsequently arrested for public nuisance and obstructing the legal process.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

WEDNESDAY, JULY 13

DWI, 9:38 p.m.

Traffic stop on Loon Lodge Ln. and Birchmont Beach Rd. NE. Adult male arrested for DWI.

Burglary, 2:03 p.m.

Deputies investigated the report of a possible burglary on the 5000 block of Theater Ln. NW.

Dead Body, 12:00 p.m.

Deceased adult male located in Lake Bemidji.

Boat, 10:51 a.m.

Deputies responded to a watercraft accident on Big Rice Lake in Pennington. One adult male transported to Sanford Fargo for injury.

TUESDAY, JULY 12

Weapons Offenses, 9:25 p.m.

Report of weapons offense on Wooden Cross Rd. and Melby Ln. SE in Grant Valley Township.

Accident, 8:22 p.m.

Deputies responded to a crash on Irvine Ave. and Lumberjack Rd. NE in Nebish. Adult arrested for DWI.

Warrant, 8:04 p.m.

Warrant arrest for Itasca County on the 1600 block of Scenic Highway SE in Pennington.

Trespass, 12:37 p.m.

A disagreement over farming of property and hay production on the 16400 block of Aksarben Ln. NE in Hines.
