The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to Monday, March 16.


Traffic Stop, 11:46 p.m.

Traffic stop on Irvine Ave. and Anne St. NW. Driver arrested for DWI and passenger arrested for multiple outstanding warrants.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:55 p.m.

Officers located a stolen vehicle on the 800 block of 26th St. NW. Multiple individuals were placed under arrest.

911, 6:55 p.m.

Officer took a 911 misdial, upon contact a 2-year-old had gotten mom’s phone and no emergency was present. No further assistance needed.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 5:02 p.m.

Officers responded to a call of a male walking in traffic on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Officers encountered the male harassing a citizen and arrested him for disorderly conduct and open container in public.

Theft, 3:34 p.m.

Adult female arrested for theft, false name and date of birth of another on the 1400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Theft, 1:25 p.m.

Theft of property reported on the 1900 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.

Assault, 11:04 a.m.

Assault reported on the 100 block of Inglewood St. NW. One arrested.

Property Damage, 8:35 a.m.

Complainant reported two tires slashed during the night on the 800 block of 10th St. NW.

Suspicious, 3:52 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Adult female and male were arrested for multiple charges.


Disturbing the Peace, 11:07 p.m.

Deputies responded to Porcupine Rd. SE after a report of intoxicated males fighting and breaking windows. One male arrested after fighting with law enforcement.

Suspicious, 8:12 p.m.

Suspicious vehicle called in. Vehicle was located on the 27900 block of Power Dam Rd. NE in Pennington and was discovered to be stolen. One female arrested.

Assault, 6:14 p.m.

Assault reported on Highway 71 NE in Blackduck.

Agency Assist, 3:52 a.m.

Deputies assisted Bemidji Police Department with a suspicious person report. Adult female and male were arrested for multiple charges on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE.
