The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Thursday, May 6.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Assault, 10:38 p.m.
Officers responded to a possible assault on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Vehicle left prior to officers’ arrival. Officers unable to locate vehicle.
Disorderly Conduct, 5:34 p.m.
Officers kept the peace during a family dispute on Bemidji Ave. N.
Disorderly Conduct, 5:24 p.m.
Officer responded to a removal on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Individual attempting to fight customers and staff. One arrested.
Weapons Offenses, 3:25 p.m.
Accidental discharge of a firearm on the 700 block of 15th St. NW. Nothing criminal nor negligent was found by officer. There will be no charges stemming from this incident. No further actions taken.
Theft, 2:03 p.m.
Shoplifting at the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Two warrant arrests made.
Property Damage, 1:00 p.m.
Criminal damage to property complaint on the 2600 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.
Theft, 7:43 a.m.
Shoplifting at the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Two arrested on warrants.
Accident, 6:42 a.m.
HIt and run crash on Highway 71 and Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. No suspects.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 7:58 p.m.
Report of a vehicle driving off the roadway and striking mailboxes on the 2000 block of Becida Rd. SW. Driver was arrested for DWI.
Assist, 7:37 p.m.
Red Lake pursued vehicle on Highway 89 and HIghway 1 NE in Kelliher. Deputies did not get involved.
Fire, 6:11 p.m.
Reported on the 12700 block of Co. Rd. 9 in Solway.
DWI, 4:21 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 2400 block of Adams Ave. NW. Adult male arrested for DWI.
Animal, 1:42 p.m.
Report of a dog bite on the 5200 block of Spoonbill Ln. NE. Dog owner was issued a potentially dangerous dog form, dog was quarantined by owner.
Suspicious, 12:26 p.m.
Report of suspicious vehicle on 23rd St. and Van Buren Ave. SE in Frohn Township. Adult male arrested on warrants.
Suspicious, 10:56 a.m.
Suspicious vehicle on the 1500 block of Lincoln Log Ln. SW. Vehicle ended up being owned by complainant’s wife. Miscommunication between spouses. No law enforcement assistance needed.
Warrant, 7:50 a.m.
Warrant arrest on the 1600 block of Scenic Highway NE in Pennington.
