The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Assault, 9:17 p.m.
Individual was placed under arrest on the 100 block of 3rd Street NW for multiple charges.
Suspicious, 7:26 p.m.
Officer attempted to stop a male on a bicycle with no lights on the 400 block of Bemidji Avenue N. The subject fled on the bicycle. Officer lost visual and was unable to identify the subject. No action taken.
Assist, 5:08 p.m.
Caller reporting “person of interest” to BPD is at Walmart. Unable to locate subject.
Burglary, 4:28 p.m.
Officers responded to a residential burglary on the 1300 block of Minnesota Avenue NW.
Theft, 3:59 p.m.
Report of theft and property damage at business on the 600 block of Railroad Street SE.
Accident, 2:33 p.m.
Complainant called for a hit and run on the 2100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW. Complainant was hit in the rear bumper. Possible suspect is a middle-aged woman in a black car.
Theft, 11:00 a.m.
Theft reported on the 1100 block of Minnesota Avenue NW.
Assault, 10:11 a.m.
Report of an assault on the 600 block of America Avenue NW.
Accident, 10:06 a.m.
Two vehicle crash on Middle School Drive NW. One driver was transported to the ER by ambulance. A juvenile driver was cited for disobeying a traffic control signal.
Accident, 9:45 a.m.
Hit and run accident on Paul Bunyan Drive and U.S. 71. No injuries reported.
Disturbing the Peace, 12:10 a.m.
Report of a female being pushed into a house. Female found to be safe inside the house with several others. All reported that her ex likely called trying to get people in trouble. Unfounded.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Sex Crimes, 2:41 p.m.
Deputy attempted to take a report of sexual assaults that had occurred. Complainant advised they wanted to return to the LEC tomorrow to make the report.
Fire, 6:57 a.m.
Vehicle fire inside a shop in Blackduck. Substantial monetary loss.
Theft, 2:01 a.m.
Traffic stop–attempt to locate issued for the vehicle on the 5600 block of Alps Court NW. Driver cited for Driving after Revocation, and a passenger was arrested for a warrant and cited for false name. Transferred passenger to Cass County.
