The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assist, 9:29 p.m.

Assisted caller with questions about running for president on Norton Ave. NW.

Assault, 9:05 p.m.

Adult female called BPD to report an assault on 26th St. NW. Upon arrival, the female began yelling and said she didn’t want to speak to the officer anymore.

Theft, 6:21 p.m.

Adult male entered private property on the 100 block of 4th St. NW and stole a briefcase containing multiple items.

Welfare Check, 4:29 p.m.

Intoxicated adult with laceration on forehead from bicycle crash on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Union St. SW. No ambulances available, officer transported him to ER.

Assault, 3:45 p.m.

Officers responded to 8th St. and America Ave. NW to an assault in progress. Female arrested for multiple charges.

Burglary, 8:57 a.m.

Residential burglary reported on the 200 block of Roosevelt Rd. SW.

DWI, 2:20 a.m.

Adult male arrested for DWI on Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Welfare Check, 12:01 a.m.

Welfare check requested on an unknown phone that continued to call reporting party. Officer made contact with the unknown number and it was a child playing with a phone on Harrison Ct. SW.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Fire, 11:12 p.m.

Smell of smoke reported on the 14400 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Caller found out it was a neighbor having a small campfire.

Assault, 4:51 p.m.

A male was arrested for domestic assault on Nordic Ave. NW.

Agency Assist, 7:17 a.m.

Report of a motor vehicle theft from within the city of Blackduck.
