The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Wednesday, April 15.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Disturbing the Peace, 10:42 p.m.

Officer spoke with a renter about a noise complaint on the 2500 block of Phoenix Loop NW. Renter advised they would quiet down.

DWI, 10:45 p.m.

Adult male arrested for DWI and fleeing an officer on foot on the 1800 block of Norton Ave. NW.

Assault, 9:55 p.m.

Report of an assault. One person arrested.

Sex Crimes, 8:40 p.m.

Officers took a report of an assault.

Property, 5:31 p.m.

Individual was placed under arrest for a warrant during a traffic stop on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Theft, 11:10 a.m.

Officer took a theft report on the 1700 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Assist, 9:48 p.m.

Traffic stop on Derwall Rd. and 4th St. in Kelliher. Passenger arrested for a felony warrant.

Assault, 7:00 p.m.

Report of a verbal argument over COVID-19. Parties separated for the night.

Fire, 2:39 p.m.

Deputy responded to the report of a large grass fire on Sunnyside Rd. SE. Fire was put out by Bemidji Fire.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 12:53 p.m.

Suspect arrested on a warrant and association with stolen vehicle on the 2100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE.

Assault, 5:27 a.m.

Deputies responded to a complaint of a possible assault on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. Incident was discovered to be follow-up related to a large fight the previous night.
