The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Wednesday, June 1.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Suspicious, 11:40 p.m.

Officers checked the area of Lake Ave. and 1st St. E for the report of possible gunshots. No signs of distress were located.

Traffic Stop, 10:28 p.m.

Traffic stop on 25th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. Driver cited for DAR, passenger arrested on multiple charges.

Theft, 8:43 p.m.

Theft of merchandise on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Male placed under arrest for local warrant.

Pursuit, 7:28 p.m.

Adult male placed under arrest following a vehicle pursuit on 26th St. and Irvine Ave. NW.

Warrant, 2:27 p.m.

Individual located on Paul Bunyan Dr. NW and Ash Ave. NW who had an outstanding warrant. Individual arrested and transported without incident.

Suspicious, 2:02 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a female trying to enter a residence on the 700 block of Lake Blvd. NE. The adult female was found to be heavily intoxicated and mistakenly tried to enter the wrong house. A courtesy ride home was provided to the female. No further actions requested or taken.

Weapons Offenses, 1:23 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of several possible gunshots in a residential neighborhood on the 1300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.

DWI, 12:30 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 1600 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Driver arrested.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Assist, 8:36 p.m.

Report of a female who jumped into lake near the 200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Female wanted to go for a swim.

Warrant, 5:09 p.m.

Warrant arrest on the 4400 block of Washington Ave. S.

Weapons Offenses, 3:31 p.m.

Subject and Owner were practicing their 2nd Amendment in a safe area and direction on the 3000 block of 1st St. E.
