The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Wednesday, May 3.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assist, 11:15 p.m.

Assist looking for car keys possibly thrown into a yard on the 2700 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Unable to locate.

Assault, 9:01 p.m.

Welfare check on possible assault victim on Mississippi Ave. SW. One arrested.

Agency Assist, 8:13 p.m.

Assist BCSO with report of a suspicious female in the swamp/ditch on Wee Gwaus Dr. SW. Female arrested on warrant.

Hazards (dangerous), 6:02 p.m.

Gas leak on outdoor firepit on the 1600 block of 6th St. SE. Officer on scene until cleared by Bemidji Fire.

Drugs, 2:35 p.m.

Extra patrol request around Best Western during evening hours.

Violations/Court Orders, 9:56 a.m.

Adult male arrested on probation A&D order per probation officer request, probation officer did the prebook.

Welfare Check, 4:23 a.m.

Welfare check requested for a supposed intoxicated female throwing things around on the 1300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. All was quiet upon officer’s arrival. Female appeared sober and denied needing any assistance.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Agency Assist, 9:01 p.m.

Deputy assisted Bemidji PD on Mississippi Ave. SW. Arrest made for outstanding warrant leading to new charges.

Civil, 8:41 p.m.

Neighbor accused a child of stealing a toy from his yard on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. Assisted and advised.

Suspicious, 8:13 p.m.

Female arrested for warrants and Wee Gwaus Rd. SW.

Fire, 5:56 p.m.

Deputies responded to a brush fire on the 17200 block of Skyview Dr. NW.

Fire, 5:27 p.m.

Reported near Alvwood Rd. and Brooks Rd. NE in Blackduck.

Assault, 3:18 p.m.

Deputies investigated the report of an assault on the 9900 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Investigation pending.

ATV, 9:05 a.m.

Complaint of a dog allegedly being hit by a four-wheeler on Deer Path Ct. NE. Complainant did not witness the incident but presumes it was the neighbors that live a few doors down due to seeing them on four-wheelers earlier.
