Bemidji Blotter for Wednesday, Oct. 30

The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Disorderly Conduct, 11:25 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male at a local store on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Drive. Two adult males were arrested.

Assist, 7:29 p.m.

Assist another agency in checking a local address on the 2400 block of Calihan Avenue NE for property damage. Subject was not located.

Assist, 6:41 p.m.

Took a report of privacy concerns–deer shining on the 1100 block of 15th Street NW. *(see note)

Warrant, 3:39 p.m.

Subject with warrant possibly traveling in neighboring jurisdiction. Information was relayed to this jurisdiction.

Accident, 11:17 a.m.

Vehicle crash on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive.

Harassment, 11:18 a.m.

Student was injured several weeks ago on the 2900 block of Division Street W.

Suspicious, 10:50 a.m.

Report of a suspicious vehicle on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Drive NW. Limited information, vehicle was not located.

Accident, 7:10 a.m.

Three vehicle crash on the 1300 block of Anne Street. One adult woman was cited.

Disturbing the Peace, 1:45 a.m.

Officers responded to a noise complaint on the 1800 block of Norton Avenue NW. One female transported by medical personnel. Two were provided a courtesy ride to their residence. No further action taken.

Note:

  • Bemidji State University biology students, with a professor, are currently doing deer surveys within city limits most evenings from sunset until about 9 p.m. They will not do this on Halloween night. Their activity appears like the illegal activity of deer shining, but they are collecting information for the city of Bemidji and the Department of Natural Resources.

Suspicious, 11:53 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle in business parking lot after hours on the 13300 block of Irvine Avenue NW. Left overnight due to mechanical problems.

Suspicious, 10:51 p.m.

Suspicious vehicle parked on approach on Island View Drive and Black Lake Road NE.

Property Damage, 10:18 p.m.

Report of criminal damage to property; multiple tires slashed on the 16200 block of Black Creek Lane NE. Under investigation.

Warrant, 1:28 p.m.

One adult male was arrested on a warrant on Highway 2 NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 12:59 p.m.

School bus driving complaint on the 5800 block of Annalee Lane NW.

Fire, 9:24 a.m.

Report of a vehicle on fire on the 1400 block of Anne Street NW. Deputies responded and there were no flames present upon arrival. Vehicle was okay as it appeared to be a mechanical issue. Caller arranged a private tow.

Traffic Stop, 4:19 a.m.

Stopped for one headlight on Division Street and Adams Avenue. Driver cited for driving after revocation and a male passenger arrested for a probation violation.
