The following are a summary of incidents that Bemidji Police Officers and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to on Thursday, Oct. 24

Suspicious, 11:00 p.m.

Assisted State Patrol with traffic stop and subsequent vehicle search stemming from a suspicious vehicle call on the 900 block of Industrial Park Drive SE.

Welfare Check, 9:26 p.m.

Complaint of an intoxicated female crying at an apartment building on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Avenue. Female was located and did not want assistance.

Suspicious, 8:23 p.m.

Caller reported a male claiming his vehicle was stolen on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Drive. Officers were unable to locate male or the vehicle.

Family Crimes, 8:06 p.m.

Officers took a report of child abuse on the 1100 block of Minnesota Ave NW.

Suspicious, 7:30 p.m.

Caller complained of someone knocking on her door. Referred to social services on the 600 block of America Avenue.

Animal, 7:03 p.m.

Report of a dog bite, dogs quarantined for 10 days at residence. Community service officer will follow up on the 4900 block of Birchmont Drive.

Theft, 6:01 p.m.

Officers responded to the report of two shoplifters on the 2100 block of Paul Bunyan Drive. The two shoplifters were arrested for felony theft.

Property Damage, 4:30 p.m.

Complainant had to kick in an interior door of her own residence after her toddler son locked himself in–she wanted a report on file. Officer guided her on options on how to fix the door.

Harassment, 1:40 p.m.

Subjects arguing over leaves on the 600 block of 10th Street NW. Both parties left.

Accident, 11:23 a.m.

Two vehicle crash on 15th Street and Irvine. One driver cited.

Medical, 2:55 a.m.

Officers responded to a call of a possible overdose on the 200 block of Paul Bunyan Drive. Male was transported to hospital.

Agency Assist, 11:00 p.m.

Assisted Bemidji Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol with a traffic stop. Two were arrested on the 900 block of Industrial Park Drive SE.

Assist, 6:56 p.m.

Deputy assisted State Patrol on a traffic stop on St. Peter Lane NW and Highway 89. One man was arrested.

Dead Body, 5:34 p.m.

Death investigation in Puposky.

Harassment, 10:23 a.m.

Deputy typed report of harassment on Walnut Rd SE.

Animal, 8:37 a.m.

Report of cows running at large on Power Dam Rd NE and Scenic Highway NE. Unable to locate.

Public Relations, 8:28 a.m.

Deputy read books to preschool on the 1600 block of Birchmont Drive.

Suspicious, 7:58 a.m.

Abandoned vehicle parked at the end of caller’s driveway. Arrangements made to have the vehicle picked up from the 500 block of Great Divide Rd NW in Puposky.

DWI, 2:09 a.m.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop. As a result, a 31-year-old adult male was arrested for gross misdemeanor 3rd degree DWI in Blackduck.
