The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
911, 10:36 p.m.
Daughter believed she was being followed and got lost while driving. Mother called 911. Mother advised on callback that assistance was no longer needed, daughter found her way and they determined that she was not being followed.
DWI, 10:08 p.m.
Traffic stop on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Park Ave. NW. Multiple individuals placed under arrest.
Fire, 5:48 p.m.
Officers responded to a vehicle fire at a local business on the 2500 block of Middle School Dr. NW. Fire was put out prior to officers arrival. No actions taken.
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 4:46 p.m.
Driver was advised to have child in carseat when vehicle is in motion. Driver understood and placed child back into carseat.
Disorderly Conduct, 3:19 p.m.
One arrested for assault on a peace officer on the 900 block of 20th St. NW.
Accident, 12:42 p.m.
Officer responded to a possible hit and run on the 1300 block of Anne St. NW. Driver stated someone hit her vehicle while parked at work.
Drugs, 1:32 a.m.
Employees reported finding drug paraphernalia inside of a bathroom on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Officer collected the items and properly disposed of them.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Traffic Stop, 6:25 p.m.
Traffic stop for no working taillights after work on the 7400 block of Grange Rd. NW. Driver arrested for drug DWI.
Theft, 5:01 p.m.
Deputy took a report of a theft from a vehicle on the 20200 block of Teepee Hill Ln. NW in Hines. Theft occurred approximately two days prior.
Warrant, 3:37 p.m.
Deputy assisted with a warrant pickup from the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department on the 29300 block of U.S. Highway 2.
Warrant, 2:44 p.m.
Adult female arrested on a local warrant on the 2100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE.
Suspicious, 12:16 p.m.
Deputies checked on a group of snowmobilers that were reported to be on private property on the 4000 block of Big North Rd. NW. Snowmobilers were found to be lost.
Theft, 10:14 a.m.
Deputy took initial report of a theft from an unoccupied vehicle on the 1800 block of Gregg Ct. NW. Case was forwarded to the Bemidji Police Department.
