Bemidji business owner will speak at Gov’s Presser today

Gov. Tim Walz is expected to make an announcement at 2 p.m. today, which may include a statewide mask mandate.

Several cities across the state have enacted mask requirements, including Bemidji this past Monday.

Hannah Peura, owner of Compass Rose in Bemidji, is among speakers listed for the press conference.

Other speakers include Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm, Department of Employment and Economic Development Steve Grove, business owner Houston White, North Memorial infectious disease specialist Dr. Leslie Baken, and University of Minnesota infectious disease specialist Dr. Dimitri Drekonja.

The conference will be streamed on the Governor’s YouTube channel.
