The Walkable Community Group, a partnership between the city, the JPB, the HRDC and MDH, is conducting a demonstration project on Gould Avenue on 1st Street.
A “walking audit” of this intersection showed some concerns about the safety of children and other pedestrians along the busy street, especially with its proximity to Lincoln Elementary.
In addition to this update, the Bemidji City Council unanimously approved the sale of a 5-acre parcel of land by the airport.
This purchase agreement is still pending TSA approval, as the parcel is very close to the offices of the BCA.
The council also approved the use of some of the American Rescue Plan Dollars to add-on to the North Country Park project with an additional area of asphalt.
