BEMIDJI– The Bemidji City Council will consider awarding a bid for the 30th Street reconstruction project to Reierson Construction during their meeting Monday.

According to city documents, the city has plans to continue the work done on 30th Street from Irvine to Ridgeway Avenues a few years ago, but from Ridgeway to Hannah Avenues.

This project will also include narrowing Hannah Avenue to add a 6-foot sidewalk with a five foot boulevard on the west side of the street. Construction is scheduled to begin July 8th and be completed by the end of September.

The city will use $138,000 of its construction reserves to fund the project, as well as use federal and state moneys to pay the bid amount of about $1.1 million.
