The Bemidji City Council will have a busy week. Tonight, the council will meet with representatives from the Leech Lake Tribal Council at the Sanford Center.
While no formal agenda was presented in this week’s packet, it will be the first such meeting with this seated council.
Tomorrow, the council will meet for a special work session to approve the Sanford Center managing contract with ASM Global.
ASM Global is based in Los Angeles and manages hundreds of venues, large and small, and it was the only company to return a request for proposal over the management of the Sanford Center.
After approving this contract, they will meet again at Northern Town Hall for a discussion on extending city sewer and water services.
Ruttger’s Birchmont Lodge submitted a request for services.
City policy has historically always annexed properties if they receive city water and sewer services.
The most recent example was on Division Street as Gene Dillon was being constructed.
