Bemidji City Council to discuss CARES Act Relief Fund allocations

The Bemidji City Council is scheduled to meet this evening for a regular meeting, over the conference app WebEx.

According to the agenda, the council will consider CARES Act Relief Fund Allocations, after considering claims submitted by VenuWorks and a lease with Visit Bemidji.

These allocations would cover the month of August, according to a memo from City Finance Director Ron Eischens. August expenditures for personal protective equipment and supplies was $7,683, for police, $45,068, for fire, $926, and for administrative personnel duties, $47,885.

Earlier in September, the council had $373,899 remaining CARES Act dollars, but with these allocations, the balance remaining would be $272,337.

The latest expenditures included a breathing apparatus for the police department and Sanford Center PPE.
