Bemidji City Council to discuss city hall/fire hall project planning update

The Bemidji City Council will meet for a brief work session to hear an update on a potential new city hall project.

The city has been looking at this possibility since flooding in April 2022 moved all the staff from the basement there to other locations, including the Public Works Building on Division Street and leased office space on 5th Street.

With the also aging Fire Station 1, the council opted to contract services from Wold to look at options for both buildings.

The council will then meet in a closed session to discuss the purchase of a BNSF parcel as part of the Rail Corridor Development planning.
