The Bemidji City Council will meet for a special meeting this evening.
According to city documents, items on the agenda include considering North Country Park Natural Playground project, as well as consider the awarding of a bid for a near term water treatment plant. The bids for the project, which is the first phase on treating the PFAs in the city’s drinking water, came between $6 and 6.6 million.
The completed project, which will incorporate the near-term plant, is expected to cost about another $10 million.
This project was included in some of the bonding bills that died on the floor in the Minnesota Legislature, but the legislature is anticipated to meet again this Friday for a special session.
