The Bemidji City Council will meet, in a sense of the word, Monday, April 13, for their scheduled work session.
According to city documents, City Finance Director Ron Eischens will give a presentation on the 2019 year-end financial review.
Eischens will reportedly discuss the potential impacts of COVID-19 on the city’s coffers and the 2021 budget in a meeting either in May or June.
Highlights from the presentation include a planned deficit that was smaller than budgeted, increased sales at the liquor store despite construction impacts, and revenues higher than expected while expenses were a bit lower.
