Bemidji Community Food Shelf sees record contributions for Food Share Month

Bemidji Community Food Shelf Director Mary Mitchell reports an increase of donations since the COVID-19 pandemic began, and this year’s Minnesota FoodShare March campaign set a new record, according to a release.

The campaign was extended through April due to the pandemic.

The food shelf is once again taking donations from community members, and anyone needing food assistance is encouraged to come to the food shelf’s south parking lot across from Schwan’s from 10 to 3 Mondays and Wednesdays. The food shelf transitioned to curbside pickup in March.
