Bemidji Council to discuss taxes

The Bemidji City Council is scheduled to discuss sales taxes during their work session Monday.

According to a memo, the council will discuss hiring a lobbyist to work on their behalf, as well as discussing a sales tax for water and sewer improvement needs and a food and beverage tax for capital replacement needs required at the Sanford Center.

The council will also close the meeting to the public for a portion of the work session.
