The Minnesota firefighters who were deployed to the Oregon firefight have completed their two-week mission and will begin their drive back home today.
Twenty-nine firefighters from seven departments across the state were deployed through the mutual aid system known as the Emergency Management Assistance Compact.
Bemidji Fire Chief David Hoefer was the team leader for Minnesota Task Force II, and eight other Bemidji Firefighters were also deployed there.
