Bemidji HRA secures another HUD voucher

Bemidji’s HRA recently received another grant from the Housing and Urban Development for the Foster Youth to Independence Initiative.

Almost $100,000 was distributed across the country recently, and the Bemidji Housing and Redevelopment Authority was able to secure an additional $5,100 voucher.

The program aims to help youth moving out of the foster care system secure independent housing, as statistics show 25 percent of youth experience homelessness within four years of leaving foster care.
