The Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force says Kenneth Triplett was a person of interest in an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 71 south of town on Dec. 23 on Triplett who was driving a black Chevy Suburban.

In addition to the 18 pounds of meth in the present, three ounces of cocaine were also inside it.

]Triplett’s bail was set at $750,000 with no conditions and he has been in custody since his arrest on Dec. 23.

The Task Force says this seizure is an exclamation point on a record-setting year, bringing the total methamphetamine seizures to over 55 pounds. Triplett makes his next court appearance on Jan. 9.

Triplett is also charged with ineligible possession of a firearm after a search of his residence found additional trafficking items including numerous guns.
