Bemidji man facing number of charges, including a felony for disseminating private sexual images

A Bemidji man is facing a number of felony charges ranging from violating no-contact orders to a fairly new law involving the nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images.

Forty-one-year-old Gregg Erickson’s online harassment appeared to begin in January of this year when he posted a nude photograph of the victim on his “A-List DJ” Facebook page.

Erickson’s account was suspended, presumably for violating Facebook’s standards, but once re-activated, a number of erratic posts resulted in several complaints fielded by law enforcement.

The posts named the victim and included defamatory remarks, largely relating to prostitution and the consumption of methamphetamine.

Erickson was arrested Easter Sunday and remains in custody on an unconditional $50,000 bail after his first appearance Monday.

Erickson’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 24.
